Today we’re tackling cleaning in another sense – a sense that’s suuuuuper relevant and necessary for me, and I’m sure for many of you, too! I’m a bit late on the spring cleaning so, Summer Cleaning ONLINE. A digital detox, if you will. With seemingly endless amounts of megabytes and gigabytes and terabytes, it all adds up…photos, videos, documents, notes, programs, THE WORKS. And it takes up space on our gadgets! Outside from any tangible things taking up space for us digitally, there’s the general clutter that just naturally builds up as we follow folks online and go about our everyday online lives. Spring cleaning here we come – time for a much-needed digital detox to make space on our tech and in our minds.
Summer. The time of year to celebrate togetherness, good times, and quite notably, appetizers. Gather your friends for a backyard party and pop a Cheesy Mushroom Puff Pastry Bite into your mouth, and let’s hang!
The warm weather is prime season for dips, chips, and all sorts of cute little morsels made to be munched in a single chomp. I love having friends over in the backyard on a warm night for some good eats and cold beers! Whether you’re hosting a soiree or a cottage weekend, feeding surprise guests, or jumping from party to party in your cut offs and flip-flops, the appetizer spread is a critical component of any gathering. My go-to easy appetizer this summer: puff pastry anything.
I don’t talk a ton about health and fitness on the blog, and to be totally candid, I’m not the BEST at it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have to struggle much with weight growing up – I was #blessed with a quick metabolism. And I know that’s annoying or you can call it lucky, and I totally understand that, but I’m trying to be real like always with you.
Now that I’m later in my 20s, things are starting to change. Not only physically, but in general, I can FEEL when I’m not being healthy or active. It’s like I’m fully understanding why people say “I don’t work out to look good, I work out to feel good” (which I always thought was kinda BS, to be honest). My body and energy levels feel much different depending on if I’ve been eating only candy for a week (kidding…kind of), or if I’ve made smart choices.
