I have a confession.
It’s not that I’m embarrassed by it but it’s not it’s not that I’m proud of it either. And, I think I’m not alone on this but the truth is, I can’t stay away from retail. There are too many cute items just sitting on a rack out there waiting to be loved by someone so why shouldn’t that someone be me?
My boyfriend doesn’t understand it. Whenever I say I’m going out shopping he rolls his eyes at me and asks “what do you need now?” and my answer is always the same; “I don’t know babe, I’m not there yet”.
So, since I can’t share my exciting purchases with him I thought I would share them with you instead; the people out there who get me!
I know I am a little late seeing that is it already July but here is a round up of my favorite June purchases that I can’t wait to flaunt this summer!
I am a super fan when it comes to the Levi’s 501 shorts. I have way too many pairs than I’m comfortable counting and sharing with you. Buuuut, until recently I didn’t have them in lilac so obviously, I needed them. Plus, right now they’re on sale at Hudson’s Bay for $47.97 (60% off!!) If you don’t already own a pair of 501 shorts – what are you waiting for?
I can’t tell you how many compliments I have gotten on these ankle jeggings – it is unreal! The best part is when I tell people where they are from and what I paid for them. I am so in love with these and have been living in them since I bought them at the start of June. When I bought them they were buy 2 for $30.00 which gave me even more joy. Now, they are $39.99 each BUT they are having a buy 1 get 1 half price sale and I’d still say they are worth it! I have them in medium blue blasted and black.
Now, I thought when I purchased these Zaander Slip-On Sneakers by Steve Madden for $60.00 at Nordstrom Rack, that was a steal of a deal. When I looked today to link the site for you… THEY ARE NOW $39.97!!! I have the sage color but for this price I may honestly be purchasing them in black this week now. One thing I did notice with this particular model is that I had to go a half size up because they did run a little small for me.
This is one of the biggest trends right now and I am knot even the slightest bit mad about it (Did you see how punny I am?). Knots!! I just love how knotted tops create and showcase a feminine figure and can totally be dressed up and dressed down. It is hard enough for me to walk past an Aritzia and not be temped to go in but when I saw these The Group by Babaton babies in the window I had to make a beeline for them and to the change room. I am so thankful this top is only available in the warm grey color because at $45.00 this could have been dangerous for me if there were more options.
While on my Aritzia escapade I also fell in love with The Perfect Hoodie – how appropriate is the name!? Good job, TNA. This hoodie is going to come in perfectly on those chilly summer nights hanging around a bonfire or at the Drive In. It comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns also and are sale for $39.99 (50% off the regular price of $80.00)
Lastly from my Aritzia trip I purchased the Wilfred Fee Habitus shorts in dark olive which were on sale for $40.00 instead of the usual $50.00. They have a comfy drawstring and elastic waist and are an amazing linen material which is perfect on hot days! These come in a few other really pretty colors also and I am kind of having buyer remorse over not purchasing the sageese color also!
I love love love when lace is done right!! It makes me so happy inside. I do own a few lace dresses already when it’s blush and Vince Camuto; surely there is always room for one more in my closet! This is actually further reduced right now at Hudson’s Bay for $126.00 which is less than I paid! You’re welcome!
Although I bought this in June, I don’t actually plan on breaking it out until the fall but I couldn’t pass up a deal like this on a Lord & Taylor Merino wool v-neck cardigan – plus it is in my favorite color so it was just meant to be! This also comes in a violet but that shade was a hard pass for me. Usually $59.99 but now only $29.99 at Hudson’s Bay, I can’t wait for the cooler weather!
After years of shopping with friends, it is always funny to know who is a try-everything-on type and who is a I’m-sure-I’ll-fit-and-if-it-doesn’t-I’ll-return it type! Personally, I hate having to return items but there are times where I really don’t feel like trying it one – if this normal? Also, what has been your favorite purchase this summer so far? I love hearing from you guys and getting to know your sense of style so please spill the beans!
