I often get DMs asking about affordable shopping or sale alerts and ladies, I HEAR YOU and I GOT YOU!
There is a good chance you have heard about Wish.com previously – they likely show up as advertisements on your Instagram or Facebook pages. A t-shirt for $4.00? A dress for $9.00? I, being a total sucker for marketing gave into this and for the past couple months I have been opening package after package full of goodies. Not everything has been a goodie but there are defiantly some quality pieces that can be found on Wish!
Before you go crazy, I should warn you of one little thing I missed the first few times I checked out. Pay attention to the shipping costs!!! If you purchase the same item in a few colors or sizes, you will get changed the shipping fee on each item not each order. Also, one trick that I learnt is if you close the app while there are items in your shopping cart still, you will often get a notification a few moments later offering you between 5-10% off if you check out now.
The items below have been washed and warn a few times each so I could see how they hold up and they have all passed my test! I’ve linked the pictures for you also in case you want to purchase them. Please know I am not affiliated with Wish at all, I am just sharing some of my finds because I love you and sharing is caring! Also, I have purchased a lot more that the items below but these are my favs! If there is something you’re looking at and want to know if I have it and if I would recommend it, by all means send me a DM anytime! There are a bunch of things I have hated and just didn’t work out for me. Would you guys want to see those also?

The other day I was feeling so uninspired when thinking about dinner and I had made up my mind that we would have a simple and casual pasta night. We had been out on the water all day just soaking up the sun and exploring Lake Simcoe, I didn’t have the energy or the desire to do anything fancy once we got home.
My intention was to simply saute some vegetables and grab a can of tomato sauce from the pantry. Staring down at the counter I realized I had accumulated asparagus, bacon and mushrooms and the wheels started turning in my head. Simple stayed but casual went right out the door. Pasta night was on and we were making roasted asparagus and mushroom carbonara!
I knew that this pasta would be amazing since asparagus and mushrooms are such a fabulous combination! Although I was feeling slightly more inspired, I was still super lazy so this carbonara recipe is pretty easy and really you just need to cook the bacon while the vegetable roast and the pasta cooks and then you mix everything together with the sauce. Done. Nobody needs to know this took you next to no time to put together!

It has been exceptionally warm and humid this summer and don’t get me wrong, I am loving every minute of it! You will not hear me complaining this year about the heat at all. Hot days just mean more time spent out on the water working on my tan or sipping sangria on a patio!
One thing I do think about when it’s really hot is how I am going to keep Winston cool and hydrated. Anytime I pull out either pineapple or watermelon from the fridge this little doggo freaks right out! He knows exactly where in the fridge we keep them and knows I play the 2 for me, 1 for you game. I started thinking how I could use this fruit to make dog treats when the thought of pupsicles took over!
I made these with only 2 ingredients – mainly because there wasn’t much pineapple left and I didn’t want to share it with him! Watermelon and plain yogurt. I dusted off the blender to puree the watermelon but you can use a food processor if you have one. Or if the heat has you feeling super lazy, grab a potato masher and go to town! It won’t be perfect but I assure you your pup won’t know any different.
